Hi guys! Its that time of the year. Shop projects.
This is a pic of our 4430 when I bought it three years ago. Paid $8500 and drove it home from the dealer.
Its come a long way. Tires, cab interior, fixed the a/c. Lots of elbow grease and a little paint but it does look better these days. It had less than 7000 one owner hours when we bought it. We needed a extra tractor and it has worked out well and more than earned its keep.
I bought this F640 plow at a consignment auction a couple years ago. We are planning to use it behind the 830 this spring. It has new tires, wheel bearings, shins, shares, cover boards, modlboards, rolling coulters and the coulters have new bearings. Should be good as new now.
The 4440 is in the shop. Its going to get new tires this week and obviously needs a good pressure washing after last weeks little incident.
For those who may have missed one of my better moves!
This is laying in the shop waiting to be put to work. Should be safer than riding in the loader bucket and maybe a bit handier as well.
Found this magnet at wally mart one night and couldnt resist. Since I put it on here they have been winning, not pretty, but winning so...... GO ILLINI!
Wrigley is still banished to being co pilot. He dearly loves to ride around in the back of the gator. We are both looking forward to spring!
We havent been on any big winter shop projects. Mostly doing cow chores and just servicing things. Sounds like snow coming again this week. Oh well. Hope everyone else has been have as much fun as we have. Life is just better when its fun!!! bill

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
