Help - Whats a good Utility/Medium size Tractor?

I am looking for a tractor that my 56 year old mother
can drive. She has a horse farm and needs one to work
around the place moving large bales, 3 pt mowing of about
40 acres, etc. The land is somewhat hilly so a wide front end
is preferred. She wants to spend around $3000 - $7000, and stay
in the 1960 & up years. We looked at an IH 544 and that looked like
a pretty good size. How big do you need to move large hay bales? Thanks, for any suggestions.
