You are about 4 months older than I am. High school class of "69, right? It seems to me that time passes faster the older I get, and that acceleration started in about 5th grade.
We all are going to get as old as we get. But I hope I do not have to endure 90"s. My Mom will turn 97 next week and she has a brother who is 99. Neither is very healthy, just more or less worn out. Mom has quite a bit of dementia and has to be in a nursing home (at $9000/month) and is really bothered by still being here. Uncle Bob is very lucid and is fun to talk to. But he says ALL of his friends have died and he is often pretty lonesome.
I hope to live as long as I can take care of myself and enjoy living. My Dad lived to see his 80th birthday, and to my knowledge, he was the oldest male in his bloodline. So I hope to live to be 80 and some more. But I am not sure I want to get way old. Watching others, it sure seems that a person"s 90"s are pretty tough times. Good luck!
