I rebuilt a Chevy 6 cylinder years ago. Be careful...!!!!

I had one of the front head bolts that was torqued less than the rest of the head bolts. I found out why. It is close to the corner of the block and the block likes to crack...yep you guessed it the block was cracked on the outer edge of the bolt hole. I doped up the hole with pipe sealer and wrapped pipe tape on the head bolt and installed it to the torque spec and never had a problem with it.
