Nothing is 100 percent American and has not been for a while if you are looking at factory locations. Deere has been bringing in utility tractors out of its plant in Mannheim, Germany for decades now. The 4435 combine also came out of Europe in the mid 1980's but the worst fears were never realized in terms of all combine production going over seas. The US farm equipment industry is no different than other industries in that there are far more paths to failure than success over time. Look at how few farms make it to the centennial mark. Some people have better management ability, more vision towards the future, and just plain good luck they have never had a legal disaster whether they caused it or not.
