: : My uncle has a Farmall 400 Diesel which somehow : : leaks fuel into the oil. Does anyone have any suggestions? : Unfortunately, a solid as the 400 gases were, the 400 diesels tended to get cracks in the block. This is the probable cause. this guy is showing how much he knows about a diesel pump. there is a small seal between the primary pump and the disel pump that can fail and cause a leak. also. there is a chance that the leak is coming from the plunger. your best bet is to have the pump rebuilt. there is no way can a crack in the block leak diesel fuel into the crankcase. the 400 diesel were a very good tractor.
