Not really. I have worked as an auto mechanic. Quit about 10 years ago. That's why I will never own a Dodge.....ever! LOL got an uncle who drove Dodges for years. Kinda sounded like you. Couple of years ago during the bail outs he traded on a Ford. Now he shounds like that about Ford. He thinks they are the best thing sense slced bread. I'd buy a Ford or Gm again and again. Last 4 vehicles were all driven well over 200,000 miles, 86 LTD, 88 Town Car, 2000 Exploder and now the Burban. The 86 cost me one alternator, one water pump and a starter, traded with 235,000. 88 Was about the same plus a master cyl. The exploder was traded at 212,000, with all repairs totaling a thermostat. The Burban was 258,000 on the tranny, one starter, one wheel bearing and an alternator. It's now over 280,000. I don't know anyone with a Dodge gas truck who hasn't had to rebuild the engine somewhere around 180-220,000. Don't know of any with 280,000 on em..
I'm happy for the buyer of the Durango and hope it's a good vehicle for him.
One of my sons works for a guy who has a 1 ton dualy Dodge that has been a good truck. Last year he traded his 3/4 Dodge Hemi 2009. HE says it was the worst truck he's ever owned. He got a Ford F450 to replace it. Says when it's time for the other Dodge to go it's going for a Ford. So I guess someone will always buy a Dodge once they own one. IN 1978 I had 2 Dodges, my first and my last! Traded it on an IH Scout.
Just you going on about how great they are ALL OF THE TIME......

Today's Featured Article - A Question for Dads This recent topic from the Tractor Talk discussion board is being highlighted because it is an awesome display of the caliber of individuals that have made this site their own. The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
