It used to be real easy to predict the coming of spring in our neighborhood. The Dairy Queen would open back up for the warm season, and you knew that spring had sprung. They've modernized now, and they're open all year 'round. Maybe that's why we haven't had a winter this year. No January thaw, 'cause it never did freeze. It's a sea of mud around here.
