My middle daughter Cindy has had a prety tough go of it since about 16. Her mother and I got divorced when she was 15 and I think that affected her a lot. She has made some pretty bad decissions about men and life and has ended up with 3 children she is raising on her own, one with special needs. I guess the bottom came before Christmas a year ago when she got in her car with a .28 blood alcohol content and ended up in the hospital.
Now the good part. When she got out of the hospital she admitted herself into treatment and has been sober since. She has gone back to finnish her college and will graduate this spring with a 4.0 gpa. She is going to be a special education teacher. As part of her court case she had to do community service, and she chose to volunteer at the school in the special ed dep. When that was done the principal asked her to submit a resume for a teachers assistant position which she did. The principal looked at it and hired her on the spot. She starts work next tuesday. I guess it's good to see something going well for her for a change.
