I'd have to look up the article from Hart Parr Oliver Collector on those,but I'm thinking some of the first ones had the British,what did they call that,Whitsford thread or something like that for the bolts in them? Near impossible to find if you break or loose one. I might be wrong about it,but I think that was the case.I don't think they all had them though,just the real early ones. That said,I'd like to find a nice one. Had a neighbor who bought one new. He didn't use it enough to hardly break it in. It sold with the farm and the new owner traded it in on a Ford. I asked the guy who ran the Ford dealership back then if he remembered what ever happened to it. He didn't,but I'd like to have one in my collection anyway.
I do remember one thing about the one the neighbor had. If you buy it,try to get the original top link for the 3pt with it. You need that top link to make the draft control work. There was a cable that hooked to it for the sensor.
