Catching can be a real chore... If they don't want to be next! We try to corner them with cattle panels, etc. Then catch them in the 10 foot by 10 foot shelter. Fortunately the Shetland breed has horns (males and about 30% of females) so there are "handles" to grab. Makes it much easier. Also helps to have couple/three teen age boys. I hate chasing them, makes them far harder to deal with when they do get dragged to the shearing station.
