My Father spent years working his Uncle's Farm, one of the tractors was an early MH 44. I know that one of the issues (other than traction) was the heighth of the PTO, said the U joint on the shafts used to chatter like crazy and had to be replaced quite often...they didn't have a 3pt hitch on theirs so I don't have an answer for you...I can see where that would be a challenge though.
