John B it is like anything else. Some like them some do not. I could not even start to try and tell you it taste like ....... Has a taste all its own. If you ask most that will not eat them they will say because it is a bug or something simular. It is also about how you cook them. I love shrimp. Had some while I was in Rantoul Ill one time and it was the worst thing I ever put into my mouth because it was not cooked correctly.
Lets put it this way........... They must be good at least to us locals. I got these from a carry out fish market already boiled for $2.59 per lb. While the store sells other things they make the bulk of their income for the year in the short Crawfish season. With crawfish to sell they would close the doors.
