Did you read what I said? I said excluding WMD, not because that's what the Constitution says, but because a line has to be drawn for the better good. If you were allowed to own a nuc, 1 rash decision could kill 100 million people. Even with national defense, several people have to approve of it, if I'm not mistaken. You're still not understanding the 2nd amendement. Keep in mind under what circumstances your country came into existence. It was caused by a government(British) thinking that they could do what ever they wanted to their subjects and nothing would ever come of it. They were dead wrong, and paid dearly. It was because of your weapons that the countries founding forefathers were able to gain independence. From the outside looking in, your country isn't looking all that free, not compared to what the founding fathers wanted. Now, of all times would be a terrible time to give up your weapons. You still don't really stand a chance, but the government would still have to fight and kill everyone to gain complete power. In that case, there would be little point. The 2nd amendement applies to the United States of America only. No other country that I'm aware of has the RIGHT to bear arms. Many have the privledge, and many don't. Look at the rest of the 'free' world. Only hunters and farmers can own a gun in Britian. In Australia, semi-auto rim fire rifles are outlawed. Has to be pump action. I doubt anything centre fire is anywhere near legal. I was watching a show on BBC the other day, that has Gordon Ramsay in British prisions, and one guy was in there for FOUR years for having a simple shot gun under his bed. Americans sleep with 45 cal pistols under their pillows, and nobody thinks anything of it. There are exceptions to this. Canada for example is more tolerant to some weapons than Californa. Your whole country has potential to become a whole lot worse than Californa. (Californa would still be leading edge). You have to be able to have the same weapons that the national army has to be able to protect yourself from it. The government isn't likely to use WMD within it's own borders. It would be very counter productive. Many doubt that anything will happen, in regards to the government turning on it's own people. It's happened before and can happen again. I could go on and on, but would end up way off topic.

Today's Featured Article - Listening to Your Tractor - by Curtis Von Fange. Years ago there was a TV show about a talking car. Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
