Did clutch and tranny work on my nice little '48 Ford Club Coupe many years ago in my driveway in Redwood City, California. Got 'er done and all buttoned up, started her up and a heckuvva racket came out of her.......Throwout bearing was backwards......Grrrrr, had to tear her all down again, turn the bearing around and put her back together. S'okay then.....'48 Fords had a torque tube driveline, you have to lower the rearend to get torque tube back enough to remove tranny to get to throwout bearing.
