Isolved that problem with my '49 model 8N by disconnecting the fuel line from the carburetor and blowing compressed air back through the line... make sure that your fuel shut off is in the open position and the tank cap off - Good luck!
: I have a Ford 8N. When the gas runs out of the carburator it stops. the rest of the gas will not flow through the tank. Does anyone know why?
