I have an iPhone now and had an android, both through Verizon. I couldn't be happier with the iPhone. It is my only phone here and the only connection to the Internet as there is no other service (other than Foolsnet). I have it set to be a hotspot to my laptop but rarely use it that way. It works very well for that, though. It is an iPhone 4 with 3G. The 4G doesn't come all the way out here anyway so I didn't need to do anything fancier.
I have dropped it many times and is none for the worse. I do have an Otterbox cover on it.
The android was the biggest waste of money ever. I will never use anything but an Apple product.
