Speaking of hornets, When I first got married back in '61 my wife and I lived for a couple of years in that yellow house in the picture. There was a big hornet's nest up in the peak of the house and I decided that after dark, I would simply put up a ladder, climb up and knock it into a big burlap bag. Well, needless to say things did not go quite as planned and the nest fell to the ground. That would not have been a big problem, except I had left the porch light on just around the corner. I wish I had a picture of that swarm of hornets circling that porch light. It turned out alright as I was able to reach out the door and kill the whole batch with Wasp and Hornet killer.
