We're all ignorant about something in this world, and anybody with knowledge of that something really has no more right to laugh at us for it than we do about their particular ignorance.
BUT -
It can still be humorous!
With our 4H club we do a lot of fairs and public events with all the farm animals. Being in an urban sprawl area, we get a LOT of comical ignorance, but that's why we're there - to teach and share our knowledge. It makes it fun. And we'd never fault somebody for it.
The people we actually LAUGH at are the ones that come through talking loud as if they KNEW what they're talking about.
It's usually the dad's, the ones who won't ask questions, instead they'll try to impress their wives, kids, us, and everyone else around them with their knowledge.
(once you hear the loud voice, you know you're dealing with one)
"look there kids, see that chicken, now that's a rooster, you can tell by that red thing on top of his head - I bet he lays a lot of eggs"
"that cow over there is a bull, you can tell because it has horns".
