By all means use the JDs, all the other tractors sound the same. Years ago we could tell which neighbor was working in his fields by the sound of the tractors. If the sound was something of a tat-a-tat sound, it wuz one that had an MT; If it was like thum thum sound it was D or G if it was like a pop pop it was a B The off brand of tractors all sounded aboot the same with the growl of the gears above the exhaust sound.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
