Can't speak to the Nook, but my daughter gave me a Kindle Fire for Christmas this year. It rarely leaves my side. It is not really a dedicated reader, but more of an access point to the whole amazon ecosystem. Can do plenty of shopping from the sofa. I do read magazines and newspapers on it as well as some books I have purchased. Sometimes watch a movie or show on it with ear buds after the wife is asleep. Do plenty of web surfing on it as well. Was a gift that I really appreciate.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
