Don't know about the Freeman balers, they may well be the way to go. Otherwise, the choice seems to be between NH and JD. Both manufacturers make heavy duty, high capacity balers. I think the NH knotters have a little edge, but both knotters are essentially the same. That same basic design was used on binders 100 years ago, BTW.
Are you making the larger 16 x 18 bales or the smaller ones? Ther larger balers have more capacity, if a certain weight bale is wanted and the larger ones are too heavy you could adjust the bale length.
Are you using the plastic bale chamber liners? Excuse me if you said that and I missed it. Those are supposed to increase capacity of at least reduce HP requirements.
Don't know about the capacity of the inline balers. I don't see that they have any advantage in that application anyway.
This outfit must have a good horse hay market, otherwise rebaling large squares into small squares seems redundant.
