Winter weather has finally broken. We made 32&qtr. gal. of syrup Monday. Gathered again yesterday, but didn't fire the evaporators until this morning. We had enough sap in the storage tanks to last until the gathering crew showed up after lunch. The buckets were half full or better again this afternoon. We should make 60 plus gal. syrup today with the evaporators running for about 14 hours steady. I brought home most of Mondays syrup, to clean the jugs and label them. We will probably fill retail bottles again tomarrow, but after that we will be filling 50gal. aluminum kegs for comercial buyers. Plastic jugs like you see in the pic run up to $2.50 each, plus a lot of time to fill, clean, and label them for retail sales. The wifey and I will be busy prepareing the bunch in the pic. for several hrs., readying them for shipping. My e-mail is open, but I will not abuse this site. I understand that some people earlier had problems opening the PDF file that I sent them with prices and shipping info. It's fixed. Loren, the Acg.
