Bob, Hang in there. I just spent three months looking for a replacement for my wife,s blown up malibu. I know Hal thinks the guy is a little high. One thing I noticed, was that all dealers were about 2 to 3 grand over kelly blue book prices. I finally found an 04 impala from an individual on craigs list, right around kbb guidelines. I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
