I tend to agree with him a bit. I don't tend to carry much money. Deposit my cheques and spend the money with debit. That said it's literally impossible to hack a debit card (here) There's a chip(not RFID) in them that is supposedly impossible to duplicate. You have to insert the card into the terminal, and enter your PIN while it verifies that the card is authentic. Credit cards are the same thing, though occasionally it allows you swipe or use paypass.
