Is it mechanical or a hydraulic clutch?
If it's a mechanical clutch what kind of pedal free travel do you have? The pedal should move easily for 3/4" of an inch before any resistance is felt. If you don't have this free play it will slip eventually.
Does the clutch slip if you try to take off in one of the higher gears from a dead stop or does it kill the engine?
