Went to get some hay bales off the field today. Dug through the roadside bank, and drove into the field. The 2550 stayed right up on top of the snow! It is from one to 2 feet deep over the whole field. I went and got the wagon, parked it on the road, and picked up the bales with the manure forks to save as much hay as possible. I managed to get them all except one that was in a sheltered gully in about 2 feet of softer snow. The tractor broke through, and I couldn't get out with the bale on. I only broke through getting out one other bale, and after driving in the same tracks five or six times. I have never seen the snow that hard before. It was +4F last night, but it's up to 37 now. This time last year, some guys were seeding. We will be luck to get going by the beginning of May.
