I was on a jury one time where the defendant was a 78 year old lady who had rear ended a couple in their 40's. The claim was to pay damages for "lack of performance" after the wreck. Turns out that both vehicles were driven away from the scene. No visible or repairable damage on the 3/4 ton truck the old lady hit with her Pontiac 6000. She had to replace a headlight. We were told that she had to be found guilty of causing the collision intentionally and so on and so forth. It was brought out that things were just "not the same" in the bedroom after that mean old lady hit them on purpose. I'll let you guess how that came out...
