: I am fixing up (vs. Restoring) a Farmall A. I need to do something with the steering wheel. I do see I could buy a replacement for about $70.00. I am wondering if there is a cheaper way. Thanks I replaced the steering wheel covering on my WC, although not original, it worked great. After chipping off all of the old plastic covering the rim, I slit a piece of 3/16" neoprene tubing lengthwise and fitted it over the bare rim. Then I got a vinyl lace-up steering wheel cover from the local autoparts store and laced it up over the tubing. Word of caution on the vinyl cover, get it warm and pre-stretch it a little at a time before trying to apply it over the rim. The covers are made for 16" diameter wheels and the Allis rim is 16-1/2". Total cost <$10. Hope it helps.
