People keep forgetting that the add on's to the actual price of fuel and the currency value is a huge part of what drives the cost. Every tax adds tot he the price. Here in NY there's almost 70 cents per gallon in taxes alone. Thats a big part of why European fuels are so high, you have to pay the gov't to travel. Then you get into the currency against the world prices of oil. The US dollar is being purposely devalued. That's not inflation, that's devaluing the dollar so that our debt can be paid back with less real money.
It's just not as simple as Dem or Repub or where you live.
