This one is built by Kukji Heavy Equipment Mfg. Co. in S. Korea. Been building HE including tractors since 1969. Newer tractors no longer use the Cummins. Mine is an '07 model. I don't know who makes their engines now. I like the 4 cyl smoothness and lack of a turbo to get the rated hp.
This is Houston Black Clay and it is mighty picky about how you work it....on it's terms. Yes it's wet below thanks to the nice rains we've had but you can see from the tires (I just came out of the field) that the top is dry and mixing that with the damp under part makes it work "right now". When it gets dry it is like a brick and working is impossible to say the least; wetter and it's goo and you can completely get gummed up in the length of a tractor.
The pulling ability of this tractor is in the MFWD. I never had one before and some neighbors had some JD 4wds and showed me the difference the extra pulling axle makes in tugging ability. I compared this to a 100 hp 4230 2wd I had with this same cultivator. Next door neighbor has an 85 4wd replacing a 125 2wd. both green.
With age getting the best of me I wanted something comfortable that would get the work done. I was tired of being the victim of the elements. This one fills the bill and I am very happy with it.
