I'm in southwest Iowa. Yes, our rhubarb suffered a bit last year, but it still produced way more than we needed. Our rhubarb is on the east side of a small shed, and patially shaded by a peach tree. The rhubarb gets full sun until mid-afternoon, and then it is in full shade. It has also been transplanted several times from its original location. It's kind of like a weed. It just grows. Nothing seems to bother it.
