Try to ovide touch screens, if only because the more that are sold with out, the longer the ones without will be sold. Why? Because for the blind, touch screens don"t work to well, but there still people, and deserve to be able to do as may of the tasks that anyone else can. I say this as my mother is blind, and uses ever appliance in the house, all of which are without touch screens. You wouldn"t beleave though how hard ovens are becoming to find without (sorry, that"s slightly off topic but...)
Also, in the frount/top load debate, consider you physical geometry: will the door still open in your space? IIRC, my parents lack the space (house designed without laundry room) for a frount door to open, but there is space to stand and load the top load washer.
