Hmmmm..... I went to an auction the other day and thought just the opposite. Let's see if I can recall a few prices
I picked up:
3 pt scoop for $25 12 pieces of 1-1/4inch angle iron 20ft long for $65 Craftsman air compressor for $60 24 ft grade 8 logging chain for $39
Some of the other bargains I couldn't get:
2-horse trailer $625 2006 Ford Powerstroke $5000 1996 F-150 with 351 motor $1700 And a New Holland tractor (I forget the model number) with FEL that the local dealer apraised at 12 grand went for $7600.
Too often, folks see a lot and have to have it. They may plan to spend x dollars on it. But then they get outbid. Well, the next bid is only a few bucks more and before they know it, they've done spent more for the lot then they would have at Orcheln's for a new one. The key to getting the good deals is knowing when to stop.
