Well== it just keeps getting better. Drained the tractor fuel tank which was of course completely full and pulled the filter. All kinds of black crap on the end of the filter so I'm confident that it was pretty well plugged. Checked my recently purchased truck mount tank and found that there was a huge amount of the black crap, probably rust and other stuff in there. So now I have about 30 gallons of diesel that is pretty much junk. Could not get the fuel line that I disconnected to drain the fuel tank hooked back up by myself so changed the filter and waited until the next day for help. Buddy came over and we went to the tractor. Glass bowl on bottom of the filter was in pieces on the floor. We did get the fuel line reconnected but the tractor is still sitting waiting for a new bowl. Hopefully with clean fuel and a little bleeding it will restart. Probably better get another filter just in case there is still some crap left in the tank. Thankfully hay season around here isn't for at least another month.
