Traditional Farmer You can share DOT #'s It is called a lease Just about every owner operator that runs over the road does it. One guy owns the truck but they run under the company DOT #. And that is what I think JD Seller was doing. JD owned his truck but ran under a friends company info. JD would then pay said friend for the use of his info. He could even be running under a company blanket insurance policy to where the insurance on his truck is under the same name as the DOT #.
And why would you think JD Seller is his birth name. I read JD Seller as Sells John Deere.
