Just make sure the straight pipe is slightly above the cab. Ironically... you won't notice any difference in the cab compared to a muffler... IF you keep it above the cab. If you're going to go through the trouble of putting a muffler on it... make one or find a better price on the oval Donaldson. I see guys around here put resonators on them that don't do any more than a straight pipe... and others that put cherry bombs on them... and they can't flow what's needed for those engines... so the engine is always staggering. I wouldn't bother with any other muffler shop muffler either unless I knew for certain that it was made to be free standing vertical like that one is... otherwise the end is just going to come out of it shortly and you're out the money. There is a reason the Donaldson costs so much... other than the fact that the mafia is bilking you all they can... It is a good muffler.
