About ten days ago I made a post asking for recommendations for homeopathic, or in other words, home brew arthritis remedies. Osteo Bi-Flex was recommended and so was gin-soaked raisins. Been on Osteo Bi-Flex for nine days and it does work. I'm more flexible and the bad knee doesn't bother as bad as long as I keep moving.
However, in the past couple of days I've been putting in a lot of seat time on the tractor and now both knees are screaming at me, especially the left one which is the one that's been giving grief for a year now. I've never experienced this before. When field work slows I'm sure the knees will tame down and get back to normal. Like some of you said, exercise and movement is good
As for the raisins, I've had a jar of them soaking for nine days now and I've tried a few of them. They're the most gawdawful tasting raisins I've ever had in my mouth. The jury is still out on them.
On a humerous note, when Marilyn and I went to the grocery store to get the gin and raisins, I picked up a six pack of beer too. Those were the only items we had at the register, a bottle of gin, a six pack of beer and a box of raisins. We knew the lady at the register so I told her she must think I'm on some kind of a binge. She said "or you're having a bad day!"
Then she went on to tell us more people than we realize use gin and raisins for arthritis. Then she went on to say most of them are the ladies! LAMO. Jim

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
