Funny thing about this is they had just bought themselves a grease gun and were planning to start doing some greasing. Had to show the operator how to get the grease gun to actually start pumping. I'm guessing this machine and attachment was bought new given the way it looks, but I doubt anything on it has had grease any other time than when the OEM was coming out for their scheduled service. I told the guys this afternoon that when I come back I will bring them some good grease and go over everything on it with them. It's sad, but common I guess, all these guys know how to do is start the machine and run the dog mess out of it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Funny with the billions (YES, I said BILLIONS) the parent company makes every year this operation has only two machines. When the one in question goes down they can't do anything so they are at a standstill. Seems to me like they would spend the money to at least have one spare machine standing buy, or better yet, working alongside the two they already have to take some of the load off of them......Oh well, it's BIG BUSINESS, and I figured out long ago not to question or I'd go nuts trying to figure out the logic in things done that are so far outside the realm of logic it isn't funny....
George, Hope things are going well in your neck of the woods and your staying busy. On this end the only way to describe my current schedule would be to liken it to a 'one legged man in a a$$ kicking contest'.... But alot of work is good, and all is good, because busy sure beats the alternative I lived with for the past few years. Wayne

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
