DH is right in the way they come off. What he neglected to say, and you might anticipate...or not.... is that those weights are EXTREEMLY heavy. I say this because besides the weight they have no real handles to speak of to assist moving them around. The best way to get them out is to remove the bolts, and then use one of the bolts and a bar to get them to back out of the rim and let them drop on the ground. Don't try to manhandle them because they absolutely LOVE to smash fingers. I work on alot of the 400 series machines with the wheel weights like these, and I learned all of this early on....the HARD way.... The bad thing is going back isn't really any easier, and the finger smashing probability is even greater............
