I used epoxy grout on kitchen counter tiles. Really tough stuff, impervious to about anything. You have to be careful to get it ALL off of where it shouldn't be or it will be there for along time. Had some little spots I didn't wash off the tiles (soapstone, 12" x 12") and had to chip it off, carefully of course. It is costly and is mixed in relatively small batches, and sets up rather quickly so you have to work fast. But good stuff.
I just did my main bathroom with mosaic tiles around the new tub and didn't use epoxy, just regular grout and several coats of sealer. Used the cement based backer board screwed to the studs, and have the wife watching for any cracks in the grout. So far it's all stable with no movement.
