I bought a new 990 in 1974 right after case started selling them. One of the best tractors I ever had, built stout and easy handling with lots of good features like the ground speed P.T.O. feature which saves alot of fuel when using light power required equiptment. Draft sensing 3pt.was very good along with the lock-up which prevented accidental dropping while working under a implement.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
