Muddin in corn, huh? We got 1.75 inches out of that last storm. Just got our power back on about an hour ago. Went out somewhere about 1:15 am - apparently a substation in Edmore took a direct hit. Got up at dawn, to put generator in action.... Fuel line was leaking something fierce. No big deal, got a backup generator. Pulled it out, and same problem. Fortunately hardware store in Six Lakes was running on generator - had a foot of fuel line. Got one gene going, then got call from daughter in Edmore. SHe had a large amount of cakes in the freezer, waiting for decorating. Fixed other generator and dragged it to her place. Spent the day babysitting generators. But we didn't loose any refrigerator/freexer stuff, kept water on for animals. One thing, Dad's generator service sure is more expensive than commercial power. Htose things were guzzling about a gallon an hour each.
