I was baling hay with a 4010 a few years back. Pushed on the brakes to unload bale, tractor wheels were locked. Backed up a little everything seemed to be alright. Next bale it locked up again. Found out it was the left brake that was locking. Just tied it up, so I couldn't use it. Went on baling, finished and drove it home, about 5 miles. Just as I was getting home the power steering started to act funny. Bottom line the brakes had come apart and the lining was everywhere! Pin had also come out a little from spider gears. knocked off the oiler from the pinion. The ring gear was wore sharp. The reason for all this was, somehow water had got into the hyd/rear end. I quess poor maintenance on my part.
