I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. The imports do NOT get the mileage of a Harley. I know for s fact my brother's 2006 Ultra Classic eill get 60 mpg if you hold it right st 55 mph. I haven't checked my 2006 Road King yet, but I know it's getting over 50. Both cycles are well tuned and have better flowing exhaust and air cleaners than stock.
I will hold mine up to a GoldWing any day. They rarely get over 40 mpg. I am certain of my details. We have a very good friend we ride with that thinks GoldWings were made on the 8th day. He has owned four Wings, and not one of them gets the mileage of our Harleys.
