In our immediate area (se MN), not that much is planted. Has just been too wet in April and May and so far the trend is continuing in June. Realistically we had only about two planting days in May and almost 2 June planting days last weekend. Otherwise it rains every darn day.
Last week when out bumming around 30-40 miles from here, we saw more corn planted. But as you said, it is small and yellow or drowned out. Yesterday, drove 30 miles the opposite direction and they are like it is here... basically nothing planted.
Hearing that some guys are going to plant all beans. But if we get a 2-3 more weeks of continual rain - it is going to get too late to plant beans too.
Wettest spring I ever remember (without at least a break in the rain for a week so you could still stick a crop in the ground).
