I have this pond that I use my "TRACTOR" to mow around.
In the pond are lots of perch and stocked channel cats. Most of the predator bass died off a couple of years ago. A few turtles come and go....especially with my gaming help.
I have numerous stink baits, cut perch bait and shrimp. The pond is about 5' deep now in the center with the water level low. Surface is clear but below is about 1' of coon tail moss on the bottom. Makes bottom fishing difficult.
I don't fish at night when the species usually feeds.
I have floating food but this year I have been unable to get any to surface feed; just haven't seen any fish. In the past 2 years I have stocked 300 ea. 4" to 8" fingerlings. No signs of poachers other than Herons and turtles.
I try to catch them on rod and reel and just get the undesirables.
I have the filleting table and deep fryer ready for he harvest, but no harvest.
