Brakes only hold you back anyway! LOL No, being serious now.....I agree it has to be air in your hydraulic braking lines or if the brakes have not been touched since the last time you used the tractor, then you have an issue with your seals on some of the cylinders, most likely the master cylinders. It could be that incorrect brake fluid has been added at some time and it is breaking down the rubber seals thus letting oil bypass. Pumping will get you a tempory brake, but it sounds strange that both sides are gone?? Do you have to add oil? If yes then you have an external leak, either from one of the lines or at a union or even at a wheel cylinder. By the way I know nothing about John Deeres , but do get it sorted as it could be very dangerous!. Sam
