I have not seen reprocessed oil for many years. It came in 2 gallon cans.Merit gas stations sold oil in glass bottles for 15 cents a quart. It was thick and green. My father in law had a kerosene truck in the 30s.He sold kerosene for 8 cents a gallon. He sold a lot of motor oil in 2 gallon cans. All different prices. There was special oil for Fordson tractors. He went for a load of kerosene one day.Got there at noon hour.No one in the office so he went out back.No one there.Cans were lined up for filling with different labels. There was just one fill spigot.A hose ran up to a tank car on the railroad track.I wonder if motor oil is still sold that way.
