Problem is that many people are completely unaware of the dangers of waste oil.A good friend got oil poisoning from years of working in woolen mills.It came close to amputating his feet.He did die with liver cancer.I spent 15 years as Code Enforcement Officer for the town .Too much time was spent with waste oil dumping and run off from manure piles.The Times Beach mess cost 110 million to clean up because a fool put dioxin into waste oil and spread it on town dirt roads.62 horses died before some one figured something was wrong.The oil was applied to a large riding area and trails.The town of Corinna had a large woolen mill on side of the main street.A dozen stores and a diner on the other side.The area was so polluted with oil and insecticides from the mill the whole area was razed.Soil was hauled away and burned.The town of Plymouth has a large area polluted by waste oil.* miles from me.I know enough about waste oil to scare me.My drain oil goes to burning brush piles or to a garage that has a waste oil burner.I wont splash it around my place or run it thru chain saws.
